WELCOME TO FUNCTIONAL PATTERNS OTTAWA

FUNCTIONAL PATTERNS

Functional Patterns is a system that was founded by Naudi Aguilar in 2009.

Functional Patterns is an intelligent way of correcting our biomechanics. With our focus on the movements we do primarily as humans - the Functional Patterns first four – Standing, Walking, Running and Throwing in our training we get stronger, have better endurance and resilience, better mobility and improvements in biomechanics as a consequence.

Simply put, the system incorporates training for biomechanical improvements that result in real, lasting change.

Training with Functional Patterns Ottawa

Where to start?

Step 1: Everything starts with an Assessment.

Step 2: Learn the foundations of Functional Patterns in one of two ways:

  • Intro to FP Fundamentals Group Series or

  • Private sessions or Semi-Private Sessions (if there are two starting)

Step 3: Active Basics Group Series or Private Sessions

The Group series are a more affordable way to learn the same basics and commune with other like-minded participants.

All of our group classes are small and welcoming.

Both Private Sessions and Group Classes are taught by Certified FP HBS Practitioners and are held in our central downtown Ottawa facility.

Private Training

Work privately in one-on-one sessions with Linda or Michael to really hone in on your particular challenges and asymmetries.

You can start with Private Training or begin with the Intro to FP Foundations Group Class Series and Active Basics if you wish and then move into Private Sessions when that is complete.

Semi-Private Training

In certain cases we can work with 2 clients together in semi-private sessions with Linda or Michael. This is another option for 2 people learning the foundations or for 2 people who have very similar challenges moving forward.

You can start with Semi-Private Training or begin with the Intro to FP Foundations Group Class Series and move into Private or Semi-Private Sessions as soon as that is complete.

Results

At Functional Patterns, our primary focus is on achieving results with our clients.

Everyone has their own journey and we all start at different places in our process. For some of our clients their goals are to improve their biomechanics for high level athletic pursuits.

For most their goals are to get out of pain, overcome physical dysfunctions and to move and function pain-free. Once we achieve this the focus becomes improving their movement patterns enabling them to get strong, improve or overcome hypermobility, scoliosis and other challenging circumstances
